​Belgrade Forest Bike Tour

​Belgrade Forest has been an important source of water for Istanbul throughout history. Dams were built on the streams in the forest and water was carried to the city through aqueducts. It is known that the first aqueducts date back to the Roman period and that water was carried from here to the Basilica Cistern in Sultanahmet during the Byzantine period. The forest is mostly full of oak, beech and chestnut trees and has a rich vegetation.

Belgrad Forest offers extremely beautiful bike paths for cycling enthusiasts. Various trails in the forest are suitable for both road cyclists and mountain bikers. The trails offer the pleasure of cycling in touch with nature and offer routes with different difficulty levels.

Neşet Suyu Trail: This trail is approximately 6 km long and is ideal for nature walks and cycling. You can observe various plant and animal species along the trail.

Bentler Trail: This trail, which starts from the Bahçeköy entrance of the forest, provides easy access via an asphalt road. You can ride on the bike path that extends within the Bentler Picnic Area.

20K Bike Route: This track is approximately 20 km long and is suitable for mountain bikers. The track offers the pleasure of pedaling in the depths of the forest.

Picnic areas, tables, seating groups and services such as toilets in the Belgrade Forest increase the comfort of visitors. You can also find the opportunity to rest and recharge your batteries in the cafes located in the forest.

Tour Program:

Our tour starts at the entrance to the Belgrade Forest. We gather here at the specified time.

Bicycles are adjusted according to the height, weight and riding level of the participants.

Information is provided about cycling techniques and group riding rules. Then we do experience exercises on the bike track.

Our first stop is the Neşet Suyu Track, which is approximately 6 km long. This track is ideal for cycling. You can observe various plant and animal species along the track.

We take frequent breaks along the track to get to know the surroundings and take photos. Our bike guides also take tour videos and photos for you.

We pedal towards the Bentler Picnic Area. This track provides easy access via asphalt. We ride on the bike path that runs through the Bentler Picnic Area.

The Bentler Track draws attention with its historical dams and aqueducts. These structures were built to meet Istanbul's water needs and are fascinating with their historical texture.

We take a break at the picnic areas in the Belgrade Forest. Here we have the opportunity to rest and recharge our batteries.

Our tour ends at the entrance to the Belgrade Forest. This tour offers a fun and healthy activity for families and children.
