From the Historical Silk Road to the Bicycle Route
The Silk Road is the road where trade, economy, cultures, art, ideas, science, religions and wisdom pass. Thanks to the Silk Road, civilizations were established, peoples met each other and a bridge of brotherhood and friendship was established. The Silk Road, which was established with camel caravans, is being revived today with bicycle caravans. Today, great efforts are being carried out to revive the Silk Road trade routes. We are also working to revive the cultural aspect of these efforts with the Silk Road bicycle routes.
Bicycle Caravans
The most important routes of the Silk Road, which extends from China to Europe, are located within the borders of Turkey. Turkey is a bridge between Asia and Europe. Turkey is regaining its place in world history with the cultural route spreading from Anatolia, the cradle of civilizations. Bicycle tours are planned to be held on the historical Silk Road routes within the borders of Turkey. We will create the world's largest bicycle route network by gathering the existing bicycle routes in Turkey, Europe and Asian countries on a single website.
Silk Road Bicycle Route Network Content:
- Historical, Cultural and Natural Centers: All necessary information such as ancient cities, touristic facilities, food and beverage, security, health, guidance, technical service, maps, videos and photos can be easily accessed.
- Mobile Applications: Due to the increasing importance and use of mobile devices in the world, all services regarding bicycle tourism will be adapted to mobile applications.
- Corporate Support: All bicycle routes prepared by institutions such as highways, municipalities and development agencies will be included in the network. Bicycle routes that are not ready will be made by us.
- Imaging and Information: Images of bicycle routes will be shot from the air with a drone camera, and along the way with a GoPro and current camera. Thanks to the road videos prepared, bicycle users will be able to learn about the road.
- Dissemination of Bicycle Tourism: Bicycle tourism will be disseminated in all touristic regions and an increase in bicycle-friendly hotels will be ensured.
- Safe Bicycle Tours: Studies will be carried out by tourism agencies to organize safe bicycle tours.
- International Promotion: We will invite bicycle travelers from European and Asian countries. We will introduce Turkey to the world through the sharing of travelers on their blogs.
