Mardin Bicycle Tour Program
Day 1: Midyat – Beyazsu
Our tour begins with settling into our hotel in Midyat. Participants meet at the hotel at the specified time and settle into their rooms. After settling into their rooms, the bikes are adjusted according to the participants' height, weight and riding level. Information is provided about the necessary rules throughout the tour.
We start visiting historical and touristic places in Midyat with our bikes. We visit important places such as Midyat State Guesthouse, Mor Gabriel Monastery and Midyat Mansions.
Then we pedal towards Beyazsu. We enjoy the local flavors in Beyazsu.
At the end of the day, we return to our hotel with our transfer vehicle. It is time for dinner and rest at the hotel.

Day 2: Gercüş - Hasankeyf
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off on our bikes.
We reach Hasankeyf via Gercüş. We start exploring historical places in Hasankeyf. We visit Hasankeyf Castle, Zeynel Bey Tomb, El-Rızk Mosque and caves.
At the end of the day, we return to our hotel with our transfer vehicle. Dinner and rest time at the hotel.

Day 3: Mardin Center - Dara Ancient City
After breakfast at our hotel, we arrive at Mardin center with our transfer vehicle.
Our bike tour starts from old Mardin. We visit important places such as Deyrulzafaran Monastery, Ulu Mosque, Mardin Castle and Kasimiye Madrasa.
Then we pedal towards Dara Ancient City. After exploring Dara Ancient City, we return to our hotel with our transfer vehicle. Dinner and rest time at the hotel.

Deyrulzafaran Monastery:
Built in the 5th century AD, Deyrulzafaran Monastery is an important center of worship for the Assyrians. The monastery, which was the center of the Assyrian world until 1932, still maintains its importance today. It bears the traces of the Assyrian faith. It takes its name from the saffron flower that grows in its vicinity. You can taste saffron-flavored tea and Assyrian buns inside the monastery.
Ulu Mosque:
Built in 1199 during the Artuqid period, Ulu Mosque is located in the Mardin bazaar and is one of the oldest mosques in Turkey. The mosque has separate prayer areas for the Shafi'i and Hanafi sects. The names of the four major sects and the Asherah-i Mubasherah are inscribed on the minaret.
Mardin Castle:
Mardin Castle, which has a history of 1600 years, gained its current appearance during the Hamdanid period. The castle was used for defense purposes and contains mosques, shelters and water wells. You can see the entire Mesopotamian Plain and Syria.
Kasimiye Madrasah:
The madrasah, which was started to be built during the Artuqid period, was completed by Kasım İbn-i Cihangir in the 15th century. The madrasah has interesting details such as the small construction of the doors and the pool that tells the adventure between life and death.
Dara Ancient City:
The Dara Ancient City, built during the Roman period between 530 and 750 BC, is located on the Mardin-Nusaybin road. The ancient city contains structures such as a water cistern, tombs, a temple, a water tank and a dungeon. Excavations are still ongoing.
Mor Gabriel Monastery:
It was built in 397 AD by Mor Şmuel and his student Mor Şemun. The monastery, which is an important religious education center for the Syriacs, is still actively used.
Zinciriye Madrasah:
Built in 1385, the madrasah is also known as Sultan Isa. The madrasah was used as an observatory in the past and contains the tomb of Sultan Isa.
Mardin Archaeology and Ethnography Museum:
Founded in 1942, the museum moved to its current building in 1995. The museum exhibits artifacts dating from the Assyrian period to the Ottomans.
Midyat State Guesthouse:
This structure, which was the set of many TV series shot in Midyat, is a boutique hotel. It draws attention with its stone carvings and flawless architecture.
Midyat Mansions:
The stone mansions reflecting the historical texture of Midyat offer a fascinating atmosphere to visitors. These mansions are among the most beautiful examples of Syriac stonework.
Mor Augin Monastery:
Built in the 4th century, the monastery is affiliated with the Syriac Orthodox Church. The monastery is located in the Tur Abdin region and bears the traces of the Syriac Ancient Faith.
Beyazsu:
Beyazsu takes its source from the foothills of the plateau and hills south of Midyat and flows towards Nusaybin in a valley. Beyazsu is known as a recreation area and is a region where the water flowing from the Ilısu Dam passes. You can experience local flavors in the restaurants located in this place where the restaurants set up couches called thrones and the water passes under where you sit.
Hasankeyf:
Hasankeyf's history dates back to ancient times and archaeological findings have been found from 3,500 to 12,000 years ago. Hasankeyf is strategically located on the passage from Upper Mesopotamia to Anatolia and on the banks of the Tigris River.
Hasankeyf Castle: Built by Roman Emperor Constantius II in 363 AD, the castle remained under Roman and Byzantine rule for a long time. The castle is located on the banks of the Tigris River and offers magnificent views.
Zeynel Bey Tomb: The tomb of Zeynel Bey, son of Uzun Hasan, the ruler of Akkoyunlu, is one of the most important structures in Hasankeyf.
El-Rızk Mosque: Built in 1409 by Ayyubid Sultan Süleyman, the mosque is one of the important religious structures in Hasankeyf.
Caves: The caves in Hasankeyf were used as settlements in ancient times and are still open to visitors today.
